For quite some time, the Chevy Colorado has been the go-to truck for many drivers. Moving into 2021, this option continues to get better. The front of the truck is getting a new and bolder look, for example. There is also going to be one fewer trim level, simplifying things a bit. Which version of the 2021 Chevy Colorado will look perfect in your driveway? To learn more about all the new Colorado has to offer, continue reading.
Performance
Three engine options mean that you can find a Colorado that blends power and efficiency in the way you like. The standard is a 2.5L inline-four-cylinder. It will have your Colorado pumping out 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque. This engine can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Another option for you to consider is a 3.6L V6 that makes 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. When this engine gets the available towing package, it can tow up to 7,000 pounds.
If towing truly is a priority for your life here in Cottonwood, consider going with the 2.8L four-cylinder diesel. With this, the Colorado makes 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This engine’s maximum towing capacity is 7,700 pounds, which is an excellent number for this vehicle class!
Trim Levels
There are now four trim levels to choose from for the Colorado. The Work Truck has plenty of technology, coming standard with a seven-inch touchscreen, smartphone compatibility, and two USB ports. Go for the LT trim, and you get an upgraded eight-inch touchscreen as well as a couple of extra USB ports. This model also adds handy power-adjustment for the driver’s seat.
Next up is the Z71. You will get features like hill descent control, an off-road suspension, and all-terrain tires with this option. As for the ZR2, it also adds a raised suspension and a spray-in bedliner. This trim comes standard with the V6 engine option.
